Chapter 1

"Wooooooot! Yes I came in back like a mad person at the end of this term but it doesn't matter because this next one is going to be great and I'M NOT LEAVING POUFWA UNLESS EVIL FLYING MONKEYS KIDNAP ME. In which case someone's going to have to go rescue me ;)"

Adri: PFW Baby

Scholarly research by bored Ravenclaws during a math drought has revealed that Murphy smiles on Poufwa just a little too much. Somehow, Jen's previous experience with world-jumping was enough grounding for a dimension portal to open up. And it's a little frightening what came out.

-----------------

"So, as I was saying, Draco in leather is so fine," Adri gabbed to Jen, who looked distraught at having to choose between her Snape doll and the poster of leather-clad Draco Malfoy.

"I know! It's so good to have people who can appreciate the sight back on the forum," Jen said with relief. "I think if I said one more word to Ryan, he would have expelled me again or put me into Hufflepuff hugging therapy."

"Which would result in the forum blowing up, we all know how it goes," Adri shook her head. "At least things have calmed down."

"Thank goodness, you know, I've not seen one animal during this...whole...conversation." Realization dawned, and Jen began to wildly look around, nearly throwing her neck out.

"And we're outside," Adri stated. "Not even the birds are chirping."

Looking at each other, the two began to hightail it back to the Poufwa Castle.

"The sky didn't look quite this shade of grey earlier," Jen huffed and puffed.

"No, wasn't it clear?" Adri wheezed. "It's only, 3 o'clock."

"Three your time or three my time?" Jen puzzled.

"Three o'clock universal PFW time," Adri answered. "Anyway, less talk, more run?" She picked up the pace. And it seemed to work for a while. The shade of grey, starting to morph into a burnt mustard color, was behind her and the castle inching closer and closer. Suddenly, it moved three feet to the left. The teenager could hear Kezza reprimanding someone, but her words weren't distinguishable. Then, it hoped another three feet, but backwards.

"Is something out to get me?" Adri wailed as she realized that her tired feet would have to go even farther.

"Why yes."

"Thank you Jen, that's so reassuring," Adri stopped and thought. "Wait a second, Jen, I know you're tired, but you don't sound gravelly." Turning around, she saw the last thing she expected. Flying monkeys. Wearing devil horns and leather. Resisting the urge to smack her forehead, she asked, "I don't suppose pigs are flying right now?"

The flying monkeys shook their heads as one. "You go with us."

"Is this something I have a choice in?" Adri asked, trying to charm her way out of the situation. "Because I've got places to be."

"No. Resistance is futile."

As Adri gawped at the pop culture reference, they scooped her up and went flying off into the portal from whence they came.

And Jen? Well, she was left to muster the search and rescue party.
