Ginny boarded the Hogwarts Express and she smiled broadly, trying to hide her tears.  Here she was, going to school as if it was a year like any other, and Harry was off risking hi life.  Ginny had promised herself weeks ago that she wouldn't cry when this day came, and she went back to school without him, but she close to breaking that promise.  "Stop it!" she told herself.  "You're acting like a baby!"

Ginny stubbornly defied the tears, stored her trunk, and began wandering down the corridor looking for somewhere to sit.  As she passed the windows of the compartments, she saw some of her old friends, laughing, laughing, but she didn't stop and join them.  She didnÕt' want to laugh and giggle right now.  It felt as though it would beÉdisrespectful, some how.  It wasn't that she wanted to spend her time moping, or anything like that, but, at the same time, she wanted to pay proper tribute to the fact that her brother, her good friend, and herÉHarry, were in danger off in who knows where.

After walking most of the way down the train car, Ginny glanced into a compartment and saw Luna Lovegood inside, stringing together a lot of what looked to be teeth on a string.  Her blonde hair wais flyaway, and hid some of her face because she was bent over, concentrating on her work.  Ginny hesitated a second, and then opened the door of the compartment and walked in.

"Hey, Luna," Ginny called.  "Can I sit in here?"

Luna looked up, and seemed thoroughly overjoyed at her presence.  "Of course you can!" She gestured at the seat opposite her invitingly.  Ginny sat down, and Luna continued with the teeth.  "Would you like one?" she asked, when she saw Ginny staring.

"Err, what exactly are they?" Ginny replied, a little wary.

"They're necklaces made from erumpent teeth," Luna explained matter of factly.  "They're supposed to bring good luck to whoever's wearing it. Would you like me to make you one?"

Ginny was about to refuse, but then she decided that, all things considered, she needed every bit of good luck she would find right now, even if this was a bit superstitious for her taste. "Sure Luna, I'd love that"

Luna beamed.  "No problem.  Just so you know, my father says that al this is rubbish.  The ministry, I mean.  My father has suspected for years that they have been controlled from behind.
